Introduction

We are seeking an exceptionally strategic, results-driven, and highly organized Partnerships / Business Development & Operations Lead to join our team. This is a pivotal hybrid role for a professional eager to drive the expansive growth of Cosbyte’s solutions, starting with our GigShip platform, by forging high-impact strategic alliances. Simultaneously, you will provide essential operational enablement and administrative support to our lean, fast-paced founding team. You will be instrumental in expanding our market reach, driving adoption of our diverse platforms, and ensuring operational efficiency as we scale our impact across Africa.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Partnerships & Business Development (Approx. 70-80% of focus):

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure strategic partnerships with key organizations, businesses, educational institutions, government bodies, and industry leaders across Ghana and, subsequently, other African markets.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy for GigShip and future Cosbyte platforms, aligning with our mission to simplify life, grow businesses, and inspire change.
  • Drive both demand-side (e.g., securing gig providers, businesses, large employers) and supply-side (e.g., talent pools, training academies) user acquisition through innovative partnership models.
  • Lead the entire partnership lifecycle from initial identification, direct outreach, persuasive pitch delivery, complex negotiation, and contract finalization to successful integration and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to leverage partner feedback, identify new platform features, and ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis, utilizing data to inform partnership strategies and identify new opportunities for Cosbyte‘s growth across various sectors.
  • Track and report on key partnership metrics, demonstrating direct impact on user acquisition, platform adoption, and sustainable revenue generation.
  • Represent Cosbyte Technologies at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, articulating our vision and forging valuable connections.
 

Interim Operational & Administrative Enablement (Approx. 20-30% of focus):

  • Provide essential operational and administrative assistance to the founding team, including managing complex calendars, scheduling internal and external meetings (often across time zones), and preparing high-stakes presentations and key documents.
  • Support early-stage financial operations, encompassing expense tracking, invoice processing, managing vendor communications, and serving as a primary liaison with outsourced bookkeeping/accounting services.
  • Oversee general office coordination for our hybrid team model, managing supplies, basic facilities’ needs, and optimizing virtual and physical work environments to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Assist with foundational human resources tasks, such as coordinating candidate interviews, facilitating new team member onboarding (e.g., setting up accounts, coordinating introductions), and maintaining basic personnel records.
  • Manage high-volume, routine email correspondence and develop organized digital record-keeping systems for critical operational processes, ensuring efficient information flow.
  • Act as a central, proactive point of contact for various internal and external stakeholders, streamlining communications and resolving operational queries to free up core team members.

  • Proven Experience: 4+ years of highly impactful professional experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or similar roles, ideally within the tech, marketplace, or relevant industry sectors.
  • Strategic & Tactical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize big-picture partnership strategies while meticulously executing tactical plans and managing day-to-day administrative details.
  • Exceptional Negotiator & Communicator: A natural relationship builder with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders, negotiating complex deals, and articulating value propositions clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
  • Highly Organized & Proactive: An outstanding organizer with a keen eye for detail, capable of independently managing multiple, often competing, priorities in a dynamic environment. A true problem-solver who anticipates needs and takes initiative.
  • Data-Driven & User-Focused: Passionate about leveraging data to inform strategy and committed to delivering user-friendly solutions that genuinely impact lives.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient with modern productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace, CRM tools) and quick to adapt to new technologies and digital workflows.
