Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic, analytical, and results-driven Growth/Marketing/Community Manager, a.k.a “Growth Hacker”, to join our team. This is a critical role for a strategic builder eager to rapidly scale our user base, establish a powerful market presence, and foster vibrant communities for Cosbyte‘s diverse solutions, starting with GigShip. You will be directly responsible for identifying, testing, and optimizing growth channels, nurturing our early adopters, and translating market insights into actionable strategies that directly drive our mission to impact lives through technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and rigorously execute innovative, cost-effective growth strategies across the entire user funnel (acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, referral) for Cosbyte’s platforms, starting with GigShip.
  • Identify, test, and optimize various user acquisition channels, including digital advertising (e.g., social media, search), content marketing, SEO, ASO, product-led growth initiatives, and viral loops.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of growth metrics and user data to identify trends, pinpoint opportunities for optimization, and provide critical insights to inform product development and business strategy.
  • Craft compelling, data-informed messaging and engaging content (e.g., blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, in-app notifications) that resonates deeply with our diverse target audiences across Africa.
  • Build, nurture, and actively moderate robust user communities across various platforms, fostering engagement, loyalty, and organic growth among our users.
  • Act as a direct liaison between our user community and the product team, collecting user feedback, insights, and pain points to inform continuous product improvements and feature prioritization.
  • Implement, manage, and leverage advanced analytics tools to rigorously track user behavior, measure campaign performance, and identify areas for exponential growth.
  • Champion a culture of relentless experimentation, A/B testing, and rapid iteration to discover and scale repeatable growth levers.
  • Stay perpetually informed on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging growth tactics, particularly within the African tech and gig economy landscape.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Expertise: 3+ years of highly impactful experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or community management, with a demonstrable track record of driving significant user growth in a measurable way.
  • Analytical Mindset: Possesses strong data analysis skills, is comfortable with complex metrics, and has a proven ability to derive actionable insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Digital Marketing Authority: Proficient with a wide array of digital marketing channels and tools. Expertise in SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content strategy is highly valued.
  • Exceptional Communicator & Empath: Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to engage, build relationships, and empathize with a diverse user community.
  • Creative & Experimental: A natural knack for generating innovative ideas, coupled with a willingness to rapidly test, iterate, and adapt strategies based on real-world results.
  • Project Management Savvy: Ability to independently manage multiple initiatives and campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
